Observe the protected crossing
The lone Cleric can traverse the monster-lined route around the crystal ring. In the paired goblin corridor, the Cleric’s position lets the Wizard negotiate dangerous exchanges. Keep that protection local to what the footage demonstrates; no hit-point or healing-rate system is asserted.
Protection is a positioning problem
In the three-plate room, two goblins remain alive on the outer plates while the heroes reach their goals. In the monster-gate rooms, monsters instead have to be removed. Check the barrier type before treating every enemy as something to preserve or destroy.
